We often think of certain emotions as negative, and thus we're taught early to repress them. Usually, it's sadness, rage, and jealousy. It's exactly this imbalance that makes it challenging for us to change our behavior. When we have traumatic experiences— experiences that are too much for us to emotionally withstand at the moment— because we can't feel our emotions because they get locked away. This disturbs our flow and our ability to be present, which makes it difficult for us to create the lives we want to create in all areas of our lives.
